Ramgarhia Board Leicester

Description

Provision of a culturally appropriate Lunch Club service for five days per week for older frail and disabled people from the Asian Sikh community, including the provision of transport, a Punjabi-style healthy nutritious meal and beverages. The Lunch Club helps older Asian Sikh people to maintain independence and reduce isolation.

Advice and information is provided to the people attending the lunch club, with regard to Adult Social Care issues including access to care services and welfare benefits, in order to promote independence and enable service users to continue to live in the community.

In exceptional circumstances home visits are provided, where it is felt that the home visit will promote independence and enable frail housebound and disabled older people to continue to live in the community.
