Home from Hospital

Description

Royal Voluntary Service operates a home from hospital service which offers support for up to six weeks after someone leaves hospital. 

 
This short-term assistance is a friendly and confidential service provided free of charge, supporting people who are returning home from hospital after a period of intermediate or rehabilitative care. It can include: 
 
  • Preparing your home for your return from hospital, for example putting the heating on and ensuring you have a supply of basic food. 
  • Welcoming you when you arrive home. 
  • Assisting you with visits to outpatient appointments, shopping, collecting prescriptions and social activities. 
  • Or a simply providing a friendly visitor to pop in regularly for a cup of tea and a chat to provide companionship and support.
